Sam Houston to George Whitfield Terrell, February 1842can bite files!

I intend to go to the Island on to-
morrow if Mrs Houston is well enough
to accompany me or to be left alone by
me. She has been quite ill to day[,] but I
hope she will soon be well again. She had
a chill and severe fever! I will probably
be detained one week at the Island.
So soon as I return, I expect to have
news enough to employ an express to Austin.
You of course, will get it, as soon as any
one! If I have not time to write to night
to Mr Miller, as it is quite late, I hope you
will salute him with kind regards, from
Mrs Houston & myself. I wish he may
have time, either to copy, or have copies
so soon as he can, [of] all my vetos & messa-
ges made last Congress and sent to
Captain Stubblefield Post Master here, with
the exception of my principal message
