the present emergency. It will at this
season be a stimulus to emigration and having ad-
vised the Dept of War, I will soon
receive instructions.

(P) (Capt Rogers states that
the Delegation cannot leave this in
less than twenty days. If it does not,
I will accompany it, as far as Knox-
ville for the purpose of obtaining money
to bear their expenses to the city.

            If you will be pleased to direct
any instructions to Knoxville either
for myself, or the Delegation, I will
be extremely happy to receive them.

            I have been induced to remove
the Depot from the Garrison to this
