About SHAREit

Out of State ILL | Set Up Documents | Configuration Documents | Academic Lender Participants

The Texas State Library and Archives Commission's  statewide interlibrary loan (ILL) program assists Texas public libraries in meeting the accreditation criteria to offer to borrow and lend materials with other Texas public libraries.  ILL services enable library users across the state to access materials not available at their local library.

All participating libraries are currently migrating from Navigator to SHAREit for statewide interlibrary loan service.  See the tabs above for migration information and training opportunities.

ISSI (Inter-System Sharing Initiative)

ISSI Release Information and Instructions (Word)

Participating ISSI Libraries (Excel)

ISSI allows libraries in one SHAREit system to borrow from and lend to libraries in other statewide SHAREit systems.

  • This feature is included, at no additional cost, for all SHAREit systems and their participating libraries.
  • By default, a maximum of 20 ISSI lenders are added at the end of the Participant Record lender list(s) and before a default lender (if used), so requests will be filled from within the SHAREit system when possible.
  • The addition of ISSI lenders increases the chances of fulfillment of difficult or hard to obtain materials.

AGExternal

Using AGExternal codes will send requests out from SHAREit to OCLC’s WorldShare ILL system through TSLAC’s broker TX@ symbol, but libraries will manage requests and see real time status updates from their SHAREit accounts.
